SHOPtrack boosts Tyco’s production

Tyco’s Chennai plant is a part of the global engineering giant. Tyco is the largest manufacturer of valves, actuators and associated flow control products in the world serving the oil and gas, chemical, power generation, petrochemical, waterworks, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and specialty markets.
Tyco chose Cadem's SHOPtrack to monitor its CNC machines. Mr. A.Veeraraaghavan, General Manager says, " We were looking for a reliable system to measure and collect actual data of machine utilization without any manual error. SHOPtrack has helped us in acheiving this, we are now able to determine machine utilization figures accurately. Since installing SHOPtrack, we have achieved a 10% increase in machine utilization and think upto 20 % on some machines."

On key benefits from SHOPtrack, Mr.S.Ponnusubramanian, Manager - Production says, "Basically, our productivity improved dramatically by eliminating unwanted machine stoppages. We could precisely identify and pinpoint the reasons that contributed to machine downtime. We have reduced the machine downtime up to 15%. I don't know of any other tool that could have helped us in achieving such large improvements in productivity, other than SHOPtrack" he adds.
